Hipcamp Raises $57M in Series C Funding to Expand Outdoor Travel Platform

Hipcamp, the California-based outdoor travel platform, has recently lrtrading  raised $57 million in a Series C funding round. The funding was led by Andrew Chen of Andreessen Horowitz, and brings Hipcamp’s total funding to date to $93 million.

Hipcamp was founded in 2013 as a platform for booking campsites, but has since expanded to offer a wide range of outdoor accommodations, including cabins, RVs, and glamping sites. The platform allows users to search for and book unique outdoor accommodations across the United States, and also offers a range of outdoor experiences and ifsptv activities, such as hiking, kayaking, and stargazing.

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a surge in demand for outdoor travel, as people look for safe and socially distant ways to travel and experience nature. This has driven growth for Hipcamp and other outdoor travel platforms, and has made them attractive targets for investors.
